HUSKY SAFARI

This is the way to really “feel” the magnificent Norwegian nature…

The Husky Safari starts and ends approximately six kilometres from the Trysil Turistsenter. You will be welcomed by Terje and his Huskies, who cannot wait to show you their beautiful surroundings!

You will be given a brief explanation on how to steer your own sledge. The sledge takes two passengers: one sits comfortably at the front (for taking fantastic photographs!), the other stands at the back to steer the sledge. Each sledge is pulled by six Huskies through the magnificent surroundings of Trysil.

During the course of 2.5 hrs., you will slide over frozen lakes and through snow-covered forests. At the halfway stage, you will stop at an abandoned hut where Terje will start a small fire and offer you some “Solbærtoddy”, a traditional Norwegian drink.
